Get your Lawn Spring Ready.

Spring is just around the corner…we are sharing a few ways to spruce up your spring lawn below:

  • Start with Yard Cleanup. Your spring preparations should begin with a thorough yard cleanup – remove dead branches or fallen debris, tidy up around the pools and landscape beds, dust off your outdoor furniture, and clean out your pottery.
  • Get to Pruning. Pruning just before spring or during early spring provides the best results for your trees and shrubs to thrive when the weather warms up and the sun is shining more.
  • Inspect your trees and shrubs – are there any that could use some TLC?
  • Fertilize your lawn – this is HUGE in the growth of your spring lawn.  As your lawn wakes up from the winter months – it will be ready to soak up the nutrients.
  • Fertilize trees and Shrubs.  The same goes for trees and shrubbery.   Get some fertilizer on those babies.
  • Control Weeds. Spring is a good time to apply pre-emergent weed control for weeds such as crabgrass.
  • Make planting beds neat and tidy, and pull those weeds out.  This is a great time for that trim-up.
  • Add an inch-thick layer of fresh mulch in plant beds and around trees.
  • Inspect your irrigation.  Adjust your lawn watering schedule based on your lawn and landscape needs, we recommend starting to water twice per week in the Spring months.
